Pleat Skirts shouldn’t be BORING
Happy new yearrrrr!! Yes because this is my first post of the year. Ooops!!, happy new month too. Since we are starting everything on a new note I decided to give my blog a face lift, changed the theme and I’m loving it already I hope you do too.
Without further ado, let’s get down to the business of the day shall we. Today on the blog I’m talking pleat skirts. I mentioned it here before that back when I was growing up I detested this particular skirt because I felt it was boring. Our parents back then used to wear it to church and it looked like it was only meant for church
However as time flew and as I became interested in fashion and style, I developed a thing for pleat skirts and it’s been an happily ever after kind of story. If you are looking for a skirt that isn’t too basic like the straight skirts we have, pleat skirts can do the magic. It basically goes with everything and anything. A wardrobe staple, a timeless piece and a classic one at that.
Having a lunch date or dinner date with friends, pleat skirts can do justice to this, take a cue from how I styled mine and you’ll be glad you did. I wore this pleat skirt with a mono strap body suit from @youslay_nglay_ng and heels from same store and this cute wine bag I thrifted by the road side.
Then for church, you can pair this pleat skirt with any nice top or layer it up like I did here too. I got this animal body suit from @youslay_ng and the black dress was thrifted, wondering where the dress is coming from, I tucked it in the skirt. I also thrifted the black court heels for 1500 naira
So guys, there you have it. Which outfit do you prefer and how well would you style a pleat skirt. Let me know down in the comment section
