All thanks to layering

Everyday I get that privilege to get up from bed, I always remain grateful to God for something called fashion. I’m even more grateful for the term “layering”, at least I get a chance to wear more than one cloth, earn a mark of decency or even restyle and revamp my wardrobe. That was my situation last week as I ran out of clothes to wear and was in dire need to rock that green dress. How on earth would I have worn that green dress alone so I asked myself and then the idea came – LAYERING. Alas my situation turned to ‘LITuation’…Alleluyah someborry

Now tell me why I shouldn’t be thankful. I know there are so many of us that are encountering or have encountered similar problems like mine and have resulted into doing nothing probably because they aren’t conversant with what layering is all about. However, this shouldn’t be a bother as I’m here to help you out in this journey of layering.

Layering in simple terms is wearing different garments on top of each other to create a cozy and bundled up look yet stylish and comfortable. A vivid example is what you see now. Truth be told, it’s really quite simple but people still seem not to get the hang of it. The fact that layering means wearing different clothes on top of each other doesn’t mean that you can just throw in clothes, clothes and more clothes, I’m sure no one wants to be caught looking like a truck load of clothes so here are the tips

• Do it without looking bulky. Keep it simple say two clothes and if you feel you can go on like a pro, you can extend it to three clothes
• Spread your tentacles. Move away from cardigans, who says you cannot layer other clothes??
• Layering is most suitable in colder climates and rainy season. You shouldn’t be caught wearing such number of outfits in hot seasons
• Finally, I think it’s safe to say that layering should come with wearing the loose outfits out and tight fitting ones inside like wearing a big chunk sweater over a fitting plaid shirt.

It’s a wrap for now guys. I hope you find this post insightful. As usual please leave me your thoughts in the comment section, I’d love to hear from you
